Brave Lady

Today "The Girls" ventured out for a day of shopping. The party included Nana (my mom), Shelley (my sister), Kendall (my neice), Ashton, Kylie and myself. Well the trip was more for me to excape from the house and just have fun. While Nana was shopping and Shelley was helping her pick "not so granny looking clothes" I was watching Kendall and the girls. While feeding Kendall a bottle the girls entertained themselves with Nana and my phones. To make a long story end soon.

A lady with her two children walked by and she said to me "You are a brave lady".

I told her that Kendall was my neice.

She then said, "but your pregnant and the other two girls are yours".

I said, "yes. I'm not brave, just enjoying a day with my family."

She then said, "having more than two children is being brave."

Well I guess I'll take this honor and call myself a "Brave Lady". Also for all my friends who are "Brave Ladies".

Till the next moment,
Erin

Drum Roll Please.....

We have a NAME!!!

After many long talks and searching name databases we have a name. There were a few requirements for Baby # 3's name. It was to start with the letter L-Z (keeping them alphabetized), go with girls names and it can't be a family name (wouldn't be fair to either side).  All three girls can't have a family name because we wanted them to be their own and we wouldn't want to pick one side of the family over the other.

There were many names we thought of and the girls even had input. To name a few...

Laken
Mia
Piper
Raine
Scarlet
Shiloh
Sophie
Stella
Tawni
Willow
Whitley

When Patrick and I discussed the name we want we could never come to any conclusion. So the girls chimed in and said a name. Indeed we decided it would be ok for the girls to name their sister. Ashton picked the first name (seeing as she is the 1st child) and Kylie chose the middle name (seeing as she names all her babies the same name).

Without further blah blahing Baby Girl #3 will be named...

SCARLET JUNE   (Yes with 1 "T")

So there we have it Week 27 and she is finally named. So little Scarlett will arrive around April 12 (hopefully) and she will be welcomed by two wonderful sisters.

Till next time,
Erin

What's new?

Hello

Yes it has been along time. There have been many reasons as to why I haven't blogged. To name a few...1. no internet at home, 2. busy, 3. not a priority and 4. no internet at home.

Let me explain #1&4 and why I'm blogging today. Well I have a "fairly" good friend that knows more about technology than me (trust me it doesn't take much). Well he "rigged" us up an internet server and now we can get the internet at home. NO we are not stealing it from the neighbors and YES we are paying for it. So now I might blog a little more often.

Lets catch up on what has been happening since summer. Ashton is in 4th grade and is doing well. She still has straight A's and is singing in a select Choir at school. We have a talented young lady but she loves to sing a church more than anything. I'll try to load a video (once I figure that out) of her singing with the schools choir. Kylie started "school" aka daycare full-time again. We are so blessed to have a center that will save our spot but let us go part-time in the summer (lets me have a lot more playing time with her and we don't go broke). She is their little momma and loves to take care of all of her little babies. She has some "best" friends (boy's) but we tell her to save her kiss' for daddy only. This is tough of a 2 year old. I started my 4th year teaching and this has been the best year so far. The only thing is I will miss the last 6 weeks of school, yep you guessed it, because we are expecting baby girl #3 (still doesn't have a name but Patrick calls her Lasten). She is due mid-April and we can't wait. Patrick is dealing with the fact that there will be 4 women in his house someday but will have the boys he will be blessed with. He is hunting as much as possible and working on his time off from that.

Other than that we are just trying to live life to the fullest. I'll try my best to post more often and get new pictures loaded.

Till then hugs,
Erin

Hot Summer Days

Well Summer has started with a heat wave. Just about every day we will be in some sort of water. The fact that it is the first of June and we are already close to 100 degrees. Yikes it's going to be a hot one.
Here are a few pictures of what we have been doing lately.
Pawpaw's play toy. Ashton has already asked if it was her birthday present. Um NO.
Here is what Ashton will be doing on days where we can't go outside.
Loving sisters playing in the yard. Look close cause this is how Ashton tortures her sister. A little later on that night Kylie was told to go in for a bath. I turned around to find her like this...
I finally got her inside for a bath to which Ashton told me that Daddy gave her a bath in the swimming pool last week. UMMM... Look what he started.
Cause the next day I walked to my front door to see what Kylie was yelling about and found her naked as a jay bird swimming. Umm good thing our house has trees surrounding us.

So start praying now that when we use our summer passes to Wild River Country my child doesn't get us kicked out for indecency.

ENJOY YOUR SUMMER!!!

Something old and something new

Well my washer decided to die a few weeks ago. Patrick being the loving husband that he is took us shopping and bought a new washer AND DRYER!!! Oh how this man spoills me!!!

My dad came over to help unload the boxes and the girls had their Pawpaw time. Knowing there were boxes around and my dad loved a good chance to be creative built the girls houses.

Both girls thought Pawpaw was tearing up their boxes to throw away. YIKES!!!

Then they ended up with personal houses made by Pawpaw!!!

These girls were so excited that these boxes were snuck (if big boxes can be hidden) into the house for some playroom time.

Patrick gave them a limit so a week later they got to burn their houses down. That was exciting too.

What is Green, Short and only comes around 3 days a year???

TOAD SUCK DAZE!!!

Yep, in one week the center of Conway will be mostly populated with green slimy amphibians know as Toads. If you see one around your house put it in a box (make sure you put holes in the box) and bring it down town to race all the other toads.

This is a weekend where Calories DO NOT COUNT!!! So pick your stick of choice and eat something on it. I love the chocolate covered bananas and might even venture out and get some candy bar deep fried.

I will say that I have a shirt from every year since this festival started in 1982 (my birth year). I am making a quilt to display them because I certainly cannot wear them anymore.

Both of my children have the same fashion and will get a quilt one day.

Have a great weekend!!!

Absent and Plagued

I have so tried to post everyday but as the year goes on it is put on the back burner. As some already know my little one Kylie has been plagued with multipule ear infections. Some may think this is a little surgery but to me this is big. So tomorrow (4-20) we will be going in and getting a second set of tubes plus take her adenoids out. We have prayed about this and feel that taking the adenoids out will be the best solution right now.

As a momma I'm worried for the safety of my precious little one but know she is under God's wings.

Please keep us in your prayers.

Easter (one week late)

I has been a while but I had some issues with loading the pictures. Then I forgot about posting and it didn't save anything. It is mostly pictures, so here we go.
Each year we dye eggs and even dad helps.
Ashton the pro.
Kylie wasn't allowed to wear clothes due to the fact that she is messy. But she came out very clean.

The final product.
The girls Easter bunny gifts including the yearly chocolate bunny.
Now time for Easter dress pictures. (due to the fact of the height difference Ashton has to bend down and Kylie likes to do the same.
Last year probably for matching dresses. (tear, weep weep)
Here are some family pics.
The original Woodcock family.
Mom (aka Kathy), me, Shelley, Dad (aka Lance)
The grandparents (Richard and Nancy Ogden)
Now it is time to hunt eggs.
All done (it didn't take them long)
Then they had to go through each egg to see their prize. Kylie was just excited about the eggs.

It has been awhile.

I hate to say that I haven't had time to post in a while. I have been on Spring Break and told myself that I will take a week off. Didn't realize I took two weeks off.

Spring Break consisted of Branson and hanging out around the house. It was nice outside so we got a lot of playing time.

Then I came back to school to go to State FBLA on Monday and Tuesday. This meant I spent two days watching hundreds of high school students down at the River Market. It was kind of relaxing.

Then I came back to school Wednesday and hit the floor running. It has been busy and I am so excited for the weekend.

Hope you have a GREAT EASTER. Remember what it really means. Not just that you get a new dress and wear white shoes.

Till then,
Erin

Spring Time Is Coming!!!

Since there was one beautiful weekend of spring like weather. Patrick decided to plant a flower bed. Even though he picked the weekend with 50 degree weather.

This is what we started with.

Tada...

I will give him credit for all the work.

Even though he is OCD about lines.

So after he dug all day in the flower bed I decided to grill out. I was surprized that I didn't burn
ONE THING. (That is a first for me and the grill-no little man lives in my grill)

Now that I've seen this food. It is time to cook supper. Till next time.

Remember When

Last night I had a flash back. Due to work, I had to go to a meeting last night. So I asked my parents to come a hangout with Kylie and Ashton. Mom came over after school and I left for the meeting. My dad came over with Chick-fil-A and had dinner with the girls. Ashton had softball practice so my dad was asked to take her. They went on their merry way and came back with many stories. One being...

Ashton came up to me and whispered in my ear. "Pawpall told me to not tell you we stopped for Ice Cream."

Knowing where the ball fields are and the distance to Baskin Robbins I had already figured it out that they would stop. There were many days after ball practice that dad and I would stop by BR to get a treat before we went home. Mom always knew that we did but just let us have our moment. The rule is you have to finish before we get home and mom can't find out.

I remembered some past-times with dad. Here are just a few...

Showing the team how to slide. Not realizing he knocked me 10 feet off the base. But I didn't drop the ball.

Going to Greers Ferry just to knee board on a pretty day. Don't forget to look back to see if they dropped the rope.

Six Flags and the Bungie Swing.

Many talks about if someone had ever touched the top of that tree.

Spitting seeds as high as you can out of the jeep.

There are many more but I'm laughing my head off.

I pray that everyone has a best friend like I do. He is my dad.

I will always be a daddy's girl.

PMS

Not sure if any family goes through PMS but I think a few of us did last night. Before you say "Oh Erin you don't need to be talking about this". I will say it...

My HUBBYSON goes through PMS at times. I will explain. Hubbyson is my name for Patrick, he is my husband that acts like my son at times. I am very blessed and he is my rock. BUT all males go through PMS. Yesterday was the case. You ask, "What is PMS? I hope your not talking about the girl thing." Nope it is PRE MANLY SYNDROME. The barometric pressure had to be out of wack because he was pissy. Not only was he going through this but a few of my friends said that their husbands were acting the same. So I'm passing out the Midol and you better get your big boy panties on cause this aint working.

Hope you have a great Tuesday.

Birthday bash

OK I guess after you turn 18 your birthdays don't mean that much, except that you are closer to that milestone. BUT in my family it means SUPPER TIME!!! No matter who's birthday it is we make the meal of their choice and share it with the family. Add in some cake (homemade of course) and you have a birthday.

Last night we celebrated my Brother in law's 34th birthday (in 7 years I will be that old) at my parents house. His b-day was actually last Wednesday but due to the winter weather we delayed the party.

Birthday Boy Michael.

Nana and Kylie watching Michael blow out the candles.

Ashton and Shelley fight over the lone candle.

Pawpall and Patrick enjoying some cake.

Kylie cheeseburgering for the camera.

School's out!!!

Today I woke up at 5am to see if school was closed and by 6:15 I finally got confirmation. We spent most of the day laying around but did get out to enjoy the sleet. We even hooked up the neighbor's sled to the 4wheeler. Now it is snowing so maybe tomorrow we can make a snowman.

DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!!!

By the way Kylie likes cookies!!!

An apple a day or more

I just had to share these pics. I will say that between the two of my girls we need an apple orchard. Ashton eats 2 a day and Kylie gets 1 every afternoon. The funny thing is Ashton usually eats hers while doing homework and Kylie likes to eat hers while watching ELMO!!!

Not enough time.

Last night Patrick came home and the usual question during dinner, "How was your day?", came up. He gave me the play by play of how his day went. The end of his day consisted of him going to cut wood with my dad. I asked how it was and he said they had to hurry cause dad was needing to go to the hospital. Any time my dad has had to go to the hospital it is either one of two things. He is having another "Rock Baby" or my Grannymaw is back in the hospital. I ask him why and he said that Grannymaw is in Transitional Care. I didn't think much of it due to her having problems with her medications.

This morning during my daily talk with dad on the way to work he brings up Grannymaw and that she isn't doing very good. He let me know that she is in the severe stages of Alzheimer's. Dad said that she was angry with the nurses at the nursing home and even slapped one of them. I use to work at this nursing home and I hate to say that this happens. When a person's mind goes awry you will never know what could happen. At this point my Grannymaw was sent to the hospital to fix her meds and possibly go to a more tight facility.

With saying all of this I have been thinking more and more about family. I do not by all means have a large family but in my heart they are my rock. My Grannymaw was the one who I could run to to "fix" everything. I remember the times I would call her and just talk for hours. I would go stay with her during school vacations and it was like I was in the best place possible. We would get all the food I would like, rent movies and stayed up all night baking things. I even got to drink soda at all THREE meals if I wanted. Now that she is not who she use to be she is still the best. I now go visit her and leave crying because I want to fix her. She now thinks I'm someone else. She thinks Ashton is myself and that she brings her baby doll (Kylie) with her.

I know one day she will be in a better place but it doesn't make it any easier. Knowing that she won't be there to see my children grow up is hard. There is not enough time to share all the things that I haven't gotten to. I one day want to be that person like she is with me. My friend.
